Child Care
Child Care assistance programs help parents cover the cost of child care. Once approved for Child Care, the payment is sent directly to the provider selected by the parent.
Child Care assistance will be reviewed every 12 months
The income limit during the review period is 85% of the State Median Income limit
Customers who are experiencing permanent or temporary employment or household changes may be eligible for continued child care assistance

How to Qualify for Childcare Subsidies:
Employment Support Child Care -- Helps employed individuals pay for child care.
You must be the parent, foster parent, approved relative or legal guardian to the child needing care.
You must be eligible based on your household size and monthly income. Income requirements can be found here.
You must work an average of 15 hours or more per week earning at least minimum wage.
You can receive Child Care assistance for employment only or employment and training.
You must select an approved provider.

Family Employment Child Care Program -- Helps individuals who receive or are applying for financial assistance pay for child care.
Be receiving Family Employment Program assistance help or have applied for financial assistance within the past 30 days.
Meet with an employment counselor to develp an employment plan.
Have a need for child care to participate in your plan activities.
Choose a DWS approved child care provider.
